Special Events

Welcome to the City of Patterson! Thank you for your interest in holding a special event in our City. From sporting events to community based festivals and parades, the City of Patterson is proud to host numerous events every year. A completed special event permit application may be filed as early as one year before the event, but no later than 60 days prior to event date. A $50 non-refundable application fee must be paid upon submission of your completed application. Please read all of the following information, then complete and turn in this application to the Patterson Recreation Department located at the The Hammon Senior Center. Keep in mind we are here to assist you in completing all of the City’s requirements so you may have a successful event!

Skate the Circle


Bring your skate board, roller blades, scooter or bike to the Historic Down Town Patterson Circle and skate the circle! Children must be accompanied by an adult to register for the event and must wear a helmet if they are skating the circle. Not big on skating? We’ll have games, food and face painting too!

Other Details:            All Participants under 18 years old must:

  • Have Liability Waiver signed by their parent or guardian
  • Wear Helmets
  • Check in at the Recreation & Community Services booth.

If you do not have helmets, we have some available for rent for 30-minute time slots! If you do not return the helmet within 30 minutes, you may not be allowed to rent one for the rest of the event.



Dive-In Movie at Patterson Aquatic Center (PAC)


Dive-in, cool off and watch a movie in the pool this summer! Pirates Cove will be serving its regular menu in addition to popcorn. Follow us on Facebook for your chance to help us choose which movies to watch this summer!

Date: June 22 & July 27
Time: Doors open at 8:30 pm
 Movie starts at 9:00 pm
Location: Patterson Aquatic Center
1025 W. Las Palmas Ave.
Cost:   $5.00

Other Details:            Diving boards will be shut down for this event. All participants must pass the swim test to watch the movie from the deep end. You may bring a pool noodle, but no floaties. Floaties block the view of the bottom of the pool for our lifeguards. Lifejacket rentals are available for free.
